7 Zone Orthopaedic Mattress Topper in 5cm Profile Foam
The 7 Zone Orthopaedic Mattress Topper is a 5cm profile foam mattress topper moulded into seven zones from head to foot, with fine ripples, deeper wave channels and concentric rings through the middle. It comes in five UK bed sizes from Single to Super King, as a topper, a zipped cover or both.
- 5cm profile foam
- 7 zone surface
- 5 UK bed sizes
- Zipped cover option
Why choose a profile foam mattress topper
- Seven zones. The foam is moulded to a different profile along its length, because you are not one shape all the way down.
- 5cm of depth. Enough to change how a mattress feels without raising the bed so far that your fitted sheet no longer fits.
- Air moves through it. The wave channels and ring valleys let air travel sideways instead of trapping it under you like flat foam does.
- Rings that flex on their own. Each moulded ring compresses independently, so the cushioning follows your shape.
- Works on any base. Divan, slatted, bunk, caravan or guest bed. It sits on top of the mattress, with nothing to fix or fit.
The seven zones, head to foot
| Zone | Area | Profile |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Head and neck | Fine diagonal ripple, the softest profile |
| 2 | Shoulders | Close-set ripple with more give |
| 3 | Upper back | Deeper wave channels that move air sideways |
| 4 | Lumbar | Concentric rings that each flex on their own |
| 5 | Hips and pelvis | Concentric rings, spreading the heaviest load over the widest area |
| 6 | Thighs and calves | Wave profile for even cushioning |
| 7 | Feet | Fine diagonal ripple, the softest profile again |

Care
- Foam: spot clean with a barely damp cloth and air dry fully. Do not machine wash, soak, tumble dry or iron.
- Zipped cover: unzip, remove, machine wash cool and dry naturally. Do not bleach or tumble dry.
- First few days: air it in a ventilated room, as new foam has a faint smell.
- Every month: rotate head to foot to even out the wear. Do not fold it or store it compressed.

Questions people ask
Which way up does it go?
Patterned side facing up, flat face down on the mattress. Zone 1, the fine diagonal ripple, goes at the head end.
Will it make a firm bed softer or a soft bed firmer?
Softer. It adds cushioning on top and will not firm up a mattress that is too soft, or fix one that sags.
Does it slide around?
Not once a fitted sheet is stretched over both the topper and the mattress. Fit the sheet over the pair together.
How long does it take to expand?
It arrives rolled. Unroll it flat and allow 24 to 48 hours at room temperature to reach full height. Cold rooms take longer.
